I don't actively oppose the "official liaison" approach.  At present, a 
few individuals on this list can be counted on for this, but Madison did 
write something about enlightened statesmen not always being at the 
helm.

Let's wait and see if we have any problems, and if a more formal 
approach turns out to be necessary, perhaps we can consider it for RFC 
3066ter.  So far we've succeeded in getting quick notification for 2 out 
of 2 standards changes since the initial registry was posted.
