That doesn't affect the registration, though. The subtag would have a
Prefix of "la", and text content intended for TTS conversion would be
tagged "la-DE-linnaeus" or "la-US-linnaeus" to request one of those
specific pronunciations, or just "la-linnaeus" if the exact
pronunciation doesn't matter as much as not treating it like the
surrounding text.

A Prefix of "la" includes by reference all prefixes starting with "la-"
except those containing another, conflicting variant. It's not necessary
to enumerate every valid combination.
