I don't see it as any different from any other language continuum. sco and
en have no formal relationship, even though they blur at the edges.
Formalized tags are still useful, even if they just reduce the
possibilities.

Mind you, I'm still holding out for something that will let me tag my
Nahautl Spanish work, and my Latin-English work. There's a lot of different
mixes out there.
