Appeal to ISO 639 RA in support of Elfdalian

Forgive my naivety, but I'm not sure how the process works. Is another option to re-requested a tag under the "normal" process - obviously including information in the request that would hopefully lead to a different decision?

The RA has an established process. Are we trying to by-pass it under the threat of creating a subtag that could create future conflicts? Is the RA to by-pass established process for anybody that can present a sufficient risk to overall good?

Lots of people learn to accept that some things take time. You yourself have in the past made people wait years for something that had significant business need to a broad range of users, and that everybody else saw was a reasonable request. I think the appeal has merit, but I'm really not convinced it is more urgent than lots of other things that just take time to be done right.

And wait until December? No. That’s why it was called an appeal.

> That would communicate to a broader audience that this group representing the Internet and Web user communities, think that the RA's decision — hence the Swedish governmental agency — are wrong. And it would create an opportunity for more linguistic experts (most of whom, I assume, would support the request) to weigh in.

In December.
