I have a very modest suggestion that I trust won't derail anything.

We have an informal convention that Description fields for variants 
start with a capital letter, and don't end with a period as if they were 
full sentences.  So I'd lke to propose this VERY MINOR change for 
consistency with existing Registry entries:

Description: "Academic" ("governmental") variant of Belarusian as
  codified in 1959

If this ends up sparking a big long debate, I will withdraw the request.
