Hello all,

as promised, here are the results of subtag choosing. Frankly speaking
they were a bit impressing. It was offered to chose the one from the
varints be-tarask, be-tarashk and be-tarash or to suggest another one.
Two more earlier variants--be-classic and be-class--were suggested.
And than people could choose up to 2 the most preferabble variants.
During counting, the most preferable variant treated as 1 point, and
the second variant (if chosen) treated as a half. The sums are the
following:

be-classic 20 1 = 20.5
be-tarask 6 9 = 10.5
be-class 2 1 = 2.5
be-tarashk 2 = 2
be-alter 1 = 1
             ^ ^ ^ total points
             | | chosen as the second preferable variant
             | chosen as the most preferable variant

The results entirely you can find at
http://community.livejournal.com/by_mova/204751.html.

To generalize, 31 people has expressed their opinion.

So, as you can see the majority has chosen be-classic and be-tarask as
a second variant if the first on some occasion is not possible. And
if it is possible now to change the subtag name to be-classic it would
be great.

Probably it is necessary to explain such a title. "Classical
orthography" is a synonym and a second title for the orthography
"Taraskievica" means. By the way, one of the books mentioned in the
references for this subtag titled in Belarusian "Bielaruski klasycny
pravapis", this means "Belarusian classical orthography". This book
mainly stands for the Taraskievica orthography currently in use.

So, is it possible to change the subtag name from be-tarask to
be-classic?

Regards,
