Question: Scientific Latin and "la"

I'm asking after someone asking about the use of such Latin on the W3C WAI
IG list (see
<http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-ig/2003JanMar/0308.html>).

I could see an argument for Scientific Latin being registered as a dialect
of Latin.
