Implementation questions (digressing from...) / A DNAME issue

Dear Andrew and All,

As a ccTLD registry, in .gr we use DNAMEs for our IDNs on a regular basis. I
would like to point out to you that the use of DNAME does not substitute a
proper domain name well enough. Allow me to clarify:

Web Addresses: if you DNAME name1.gr to name2.gr, www.name1.gr =
www.name2.gr. The same applies for each name in the category
something.name1.gr = something.name2.gr

Email: If you send an email to user at something.name1.gr it is the same with
user at something.name2.gr. However, if you send an email user at name1.gr it is
***NOT*** the same with user at name2.gr. This seems to happen because the tree
of name1.gr subdomains equals the tree of name2.gr subdomains below the
initial DNAMEing level only!
