Request for review of media types on URC framework

ISO/IEC 24752:2008 is a new standard on the Universal Remote Console (URC)
framework which facilitates pluggable user interfaces for the control of
devices and services.  It defines various XML-based documents for
information exchange within a control network.

 

We (the editor and the corresponding subcommittee SC35 in ISO/IEC JTC1) are
seeking feedback on a set of 5 MIME types proposed to be registered with
IANA:

.         application/urc-uisocketdesc+xml: User Interface Socket
Description (as defined in ISO/IEC 24752-2:2008)

.         application/urc-pret+xml: Presentation Template (as defined in
ISO/IEC 24752-3:2008)

.         application/urc-targetdesc+xml: Target Description (as defined in
ISO/IEC 24752-4:2008)

.         application/urc-ressheet+xml: Resource Sheet (as defined in
ISO/IEC 24752-5:2008)

.         application/urc-resdir+xml: Resource Directory (as defined in
ISO/IEC 24752-5:2008)
