RFC1847 Security Multiparts for MIME: Multipart/Signed and 
Multipart/Encrypted is listed as a Reference (no Normative/Informative 
split) in RFC 2633 S/MIME Version 3 Message Specification, and 
supports at least one MUST in that specification - do we think S/MIME 
Version 3 is non-cruft? :-)
