Change "Bengali" language name to "Bangla"

“Bengali” is the English name.

And speakers of Bengali call English “Iṅreji”, if I have the g. And we call Japanese by that name, not “Nihongo”.

To answer your question, this would be a matter for ISO 639, and I doubt very much that they will make this change. It would surely open the floodgates for similar cosmetic requests.
