ISO 639-3/RA has approved the creation of a code element for Samogitian
('sgs'), while rejecting the related requests to convert Lithuanian
('lit', or as we say, 'lt') into a macrolanguage and create a new code
element for Standard Lithuanian.
Below are a proposed record and registration form to add language subtag
'sgs' to the Registry. July 26 is two weeks from this Monday.
