My comments were most certainly in relation to a generic subtag. You referred to "yyyyacad" subtags as generic, but others had already explained the precedents on this list to you: those subtags are not generic.

No, we were not. There was sort of authoritative message early on (ca.
middle of August last decade), saying we have to keep the discussion to
the specific tag (personally, I wanted *it* to be the *generic* tag from
the onset).
