The limit of language codes

It would seem that ISO tends to listen to requests for ISO code changes 
for countries when they come from the national standards bodies of the 
countries in question. Hence the BSI would be the people to propose this 
through.

Given the requirements for massive changes to many running systems that 
would change the internal workings of millions of pounds worth of 
systems in the UK alone for no benefit and indeed no visible change, I 
doubt it would be accepted. Still, BSI are the people you should be 
talking to.
