He didn't post this latest diatribe to the list; he can't.  Peter chose 
to quote it to the list, as it revealed the true motivation for the 
request.

Based on this new information, I hereby withdraw my earlier statement of 
"no opinion" regarding this request, and instead register a "significant 
objection" to it, as mentioned in Section 3.5: that the purpose of the 
request is not to serve a language tagging need, but to prove a personal 
point and create the appearance of conflict between RFC 4646 and ISO 
639.
