The ISO 639 Registration Authorities' Joint Advisory Committee (JAC) has
approved the following two items:

(1)
Alpha-3 identifier: hsb
(no alpha-2 identifier)
English name: Upper Sorbian
French name: haut-sorabe

(2)
Alpha-3 identifier: dsb
(no alpha-2 identifier)
English name: Lower Sorbian
French name: bas-sorabe

As to the indigenous names of these two items we have received different
information from various sources, and the information will be checked before
included in the official lists. I should also like to invite other experts
to submit information about the indigenous names of the Sorbian languages.

Best regards,
Håvard Hjulstad
