Dear colleagues, and especially Ken,

Before that donkey turns into a dead horse that we take to beating,
I'd like to thank Ken for some really helpful messages. Speaking as
the program lead for the supposedly-sleeping IAB i18n program, it
looks to me like there are several things to chew on here, but I think
we've managed to expose enough that the overall problem can now be
discussed in greater depth. I'm going to see whether some program
participants have some time to put together some new text that tries
to lay out the description of the problem we think we have in light of
these comments. I hope people can be patient -- I'm in the middle of
a house move, which is sucking up a lot of time.

Best regards,
