Sorry for this taken so long time, but I have been discussing this issue with representatives of the IETF trust. It was a new "case" for them, and the way the mechanisms work, the intention with the RFCs is to name everyone that have contributed to the document. Regardless of whether they are part of the rough, or non-rough part of the rough consensus.
So, I have problems completely removing your name as you have added so much information to the discussion, but, I am happy to clarify in this section exactly what you write above.
My suggestion is because of this to have this section instead of the above be the following (with a correction of spelling of Martin's name):
5. Acknowledgements
The main contributors are (in alphabetical order) Eric Brunner-
Williams, Vint Cerf, Tina Dam, Martin Duerst, John
Klensin, Pete Resnick, Markus Scherer, Andrew Sullivan, Kenneth
Whistler and Nicholas Williams.
Mark Davis also contributed to the document, but do not believe the
description of the issues in this document is optimal.
Is that ok with people? Specifically you Mark.
