Document: draft-ietf-smime-cms-seed-01.txt Revieiwer: Mary Barnes Date: 18 august 2004 Summary: -------- o With the correction of the nits identified below, this draft should be ready for publication (with the only caveat being that I'm not a CMS expert). Nits: ----- 1. Status of this Memo. Needs updating for the new template for IPR, etc. (per RFC 3668) 2. Abstract. Needs some work. Suggest adding the following sentences to the abstract: "SEED is added to the set of optional symmetric encryption algorithms in CMS by providing two classes of unique object identifiers (OIDs). One OID class defines the content encryption algorithms and the other defines the key encryption algorithms." 3. Section 1.1. 3rd paragraph. Change: "trustworhty" to "trustworthy" 4. Section 2.1, 2nd paragraph. "IV" should be expanded here as this is the first use. I'm assuming this is "Initial Value" as expanded in 3.4. 5. Section 7. Copyright statement. Needs updating for new date and per new guidelines (per RFC 3667). 6. Section 8.1. Normative references. I'm wondering if the [AES-WRAP] reference shouldn't be moved to informative or removed altogether. All references to that also reference [RFC3394] (which itself references [AES-WRAP]), so having this non-IETF document as a normative reference doesn't seem necessary.
