Draft: draft-ietf-pwe3-control-protocol-17.txt Reviewer: Spencer Dawkins [spencer@mcsr-labs.org] Review Date: Monday 7/18/2005 11:07 AM CST Telechat Date: 21 July 2005 Summary: Ready with nits Review Comments: This document is very close to being ready for publication as Proposed Standard, with some very minor nits that the RFC Editor can easily correct before AUTH48. The revisions resulting from Thomas Narten's AD review seem reasonable and helpful. The rationale may not belong in THIS document, but after looking at both this document and RFC 3985, I'm still not entirely sure why PW isn't MPLS. Maybe something short and Informational? One question on page 22 - in this sentence, As mentioned above, as MPLS enabled network, should not accept MPLS packets from its external interfaces (i.e. interfaces to CE devices or to other providers' networks) unless the top label of the packet was legitimately distributed to the system from which the packet is being received. Should "should not" be SHOULD NOT? (nd is there a reasonable justification for accepting them)?
