Draft: draft-ietf-ldapbis-protocol-30.txt Review: Joel M. Halpern Date: 19 april 2005 This is a general area review during last call. These are late reviews provided at the request of the general area director. Current guidelines for these reviews can be found at: http://www.alvestrand.no/ietf/gen/art/review-guidelines.html This reviewer does not have particular expertise in LDAP. This document appears ready for publication as a Proposed Standard. Minor comments: It might be easier on the reader if the second paragraph of 1.1 started with "This document completes the process of obsoleting RFC 2251. For clarity, the following sections of 2251were obsoleted by other documents. ..." I presume that the AuthMeth, LDAPDN, LDAPIANA, LDAPURL, Models, Roadmap, SASL, SASLPrep, StringPrep, Syntaxes, and TLS drafts are all near, at, or completed IETF last call? That is an impressive list of normative Internet Draft dependencies. Yours, Joel M. Halpern PS: I really like the wording " This specification was generally written with the TCP mapping in mind. Specifications detailing other mappings may encounter various obstacles." in section 5.
