Document: draft-ietf-dnsop-ipv6-dns-configuration-04.txt From: Brian E Carpenter Date: 27 oktober 2004 Suitable for Informational, but IMHO needs another update. I've read this draft several times in its life and it is useful guidance. The authors have done a rather quick job in responding to the deprecation of Site Local addresses - in both places that they are mentioned, the text is rather imprecise. In Security Considerations, we find: > For security considerations of each approach, refer to the > corresponding drafts [5]-[9]. [5] - [7] are RFCs [8] - [9] are indeed drafts, and I'm a bit concerned about having "work in progress" references for security issues. If the issues are serious, surely we should have a summary in line? Some nits: > The document seems to lack an IANA Considerations section > Checking conformance with RFC 3667/3668 boilerplate... > The document seems to lack an RFC 3667 Section 5.1 IPR Disclosure > Acknowledgement -- however, there's a paragraph with a matching > beginning. Boilerplate error? > Warnings: > There are 18 instances of lines with hyphenated line breaks in the > document. Brian
