It get's old for the one who has repeated the argument 12+ times. 
But that's no excuse for refusing to fully explain yourself to the 
13th+ person making the same mistake and hearing the argument for the 
very first time.

If you are tired of repeating the argument, document it clearly and 
offer it as a reference to the person repeating history.  If you fail 
to impart knowledge to the next generation and instead treat them 
with disdain for not being as smart as you, you are not helping.

The IESG shouldn't have to debate, no, but they should offer 
constructive criticism and instruction in each case.  If we expect 
that every one in the IETF needs no mentoring, sooner or later there 
will be no new folks, dooming the organization in the long run.
