The variant subtag is limited to eight characters, no hyphens.<BR>

I do not see the need for two variant subtags; that makes tagging more cumbersome--the extra information can be left to the description--<BR>
as a second subtag does not distinguish anything:<BR>
there is no other 2004 subtag; and there is no other ortograf subtag.<BR>
<BR>
so 2004-ortograf would not be my preference;<BR>
you could leave 2004 to the description maybe?<BR>
<BR>And then just use ortograf<BR>
<BR>
which would result in tags of fr-ortograf<BR>
<BR>
Would that work for everyone?<BR>
