The normal procedure is that members of the ISO 639 Joint Advisory Committee discusses each proposal for a limited period of time based on the submission and some additional information provided by the JAC chair and secretary. That "limited period" ended on 30 September. I apologize that I as JAC secretary was a bit behind in the processing of proposals this summer.</font>

I apologize for the delay in processing your request. I sent it on to our<br>
secretary (Havard Hjulstad) some time ago, but I believe he may be away on<br>
holiday (it is that time of year). If I do not hear from him by early next<br>
week, I will go ahead and send it to the ISO 639 JAC for discussion, which<br>
is the next step, and will give it a shorter time frame for discussion. We<br>
will still have to ballot it, however. Again, because of vacation<br>
schedules that could be longer than usual, but we will try to get it<br>
through in a timely manner, so perhaps we can get this finished in a<br>
month.<br>
