I suppose we could continue wordsmithing for any amount of time. I'm not 
sure how much more is likely to make the difference for the RA between 
dismissing the core argument and accepting it.

In the IETF, which is not without its flaws, the traditional response 
when someone objects to wording in a draft is "propose new text."
