You need a standardized system for Geomapping - WGS84 

This idea is not new.  Imagine the dialects of certain areas/tribes being
mapped in order to allow security forces a better understanding of
linguistic requirements for personnel in the area!  

Alas, alack... there is never any funding available to pursue these fabulous
ideas :-)

I find that an excellent proposal, right down to the's final paragraph 
(below), which would be particularly helpful as an additional tool for 
dialectologists used to handling isoglosses (something like isobars, for 
the uninitiated), which such geocoordinates could be used to define and 
further refine.
