comments on mappings

Andrew,

Three meta-comments without yet having read the other notes:

* this is very helpful

* the more specific you can be about suggestions, the more
helpful they are.

* Rationale was constructed before we agreed to do a Mapping
document and, other than insertion of a few placeholder flags
(more in my working copy than in the posted one), has not bee
adjusted since.  I'm certainly willing and happy to believe that
some of the discussion of mapping issues there should be moved
into Mapping.  But I really don't know which document (if
either) the "advice to registries" you ask for and the
discussion I've had with Shawn about
registrant-registrar-registry relationships belongs in, nor do I
know if it makes a lot of difference in the long term.
