If they are on Firefox 3 or above, it should update itself, unless 
someone has disabled that.

In Firefox 3.5, at least, the pref is:
Edit | Preferences | Advanced | Update tab
Check all three "automatically check for updates" boxes and select 
"Automatically download and install the update".

(I would do the same for an IE user :-) )
