If I'd say "the sky is blue", would you ask me if I am speaking for myself 
or for my company? I am just stating a fact.

But yes, indeed my company is one of the registries that don't decide for 
themselves if a domain name is registrable or not (and we are doing pretty 
good this way, btw). There are many others.

DENIC doesn't offer any other scripts than Latin by now, but if we would, 
script mixing would definitely *not* be a problem. And not out of 
pecuniary interest: you can believe me when I say that there are no masses 
of people with their "bucketloads of money" chaining themselves to this 
office's entrance gates because we are not offering other scripts yet.

That has absolutely nothing to do with this discussion.


So far I have seen no single *technical* reason to forbid mixing scripts 
in the protocol. So please leave layer 7+ issues out of it.
