Funding

The contract for funding is expected to be with ISOC, and should be finalized before IASF is established.

Question: What parts of this "contract" are the BCP in development, and what parts (if any) need to be a separate written document? If there needs to be a separate doc, the TT is on the hook for getting it.

ISOC may also be on the hook for Administration.

This may include program management tasks such as contract administration (IAD). It also includes any legal matters and issues of financial reporting and transparency. Donations Legal support Liability insurance for IAB, IESG, WG chairs, etc. Miscellaneous

IAD support:
- office space
- HR services
- travel
- equipement

??? what about Development Activity ???

there are several types of development activity: 'traditional' fundraising, 'new product' development such as tutorials, condensed IETF based publications, etc. I would suggest that these are important (very important in the long run) but are not on the critical path over the next few months. If we get the foundation right and started off in an appropriate manner, the rest will (really) be easy. (lsa)

I looked through draft-iasa-bcp-01, and didn't see a requirement in there that there be a contract with ISOC, which I think would be hard to do in any place since ISOC would be basically signing on both sides of the equation. Rather, there will be a budget for IASA ac tivities which is agreed upon by the board of directors. Or, am I missing something? Carl
